Registered participants or members of Hockey Saskatchewan may submit a Protest request only when permitted under the applicable Bylaw, Regulation, Playing Rule, or Policy.
Step 1 – Check Local Protest/Appeal Options First
Before submitting to Hockey Saskatchewan, you must first check if your local Minor Hockey Association or League has an internal protest/appeal process. Protest/appeals will only be considered at the provincial level if no local process exists or once it has been completed.

Step 2 – Complete the Application Below
Each application must include:

A $500 application fee.

A written explanation detailing the reason for the Protest request.
Step 3 – Initial Review
The Chairperson of the Hockey Saskatchewan Board will review the application and determine whether it qualifies for a hearing.

If declined, a refund of $450 will be issued (a $50 admin fee is retained), along with a written explanation.

If accepted, a hearing will be scheduled and held within 14 days of receiving the appeal.
Step 4 – Hearing & Decision
Appeals are reviewed by an Appeals Committee made up of three current or former members of the Hockey Saskatchewan Board of Directors.

The final decision will be provided in writing within 7 days of the hearing.

If the Protest request is successful, the full $500 fee will be refunded.
Final and Binding
The decision of the Appeals Committee is final and binding.
